SPONSOR A HONEYBEE HIVE Honeybees are a disappearing at an alarming rate around the world. While no known single factor is contributing to this, the need for managed honeybees is at an all-time high. Over 1/3 of all of our food sources are pollinated by honeybees.
Opportunities abound for individuals or groups who would like to sponsor a honeybee hive. This is ideal for scout groups or want-a-bee beekeepers who would like the educational and some hands on excitement without all of the responsibility that comes from keeping honeybees.
For $225.00 an individual/group's sponsorship will establish an active hive of honeybees, the right to decorate the hive, receive a "hands-on" educational program on bees and the management of the bee hive, and the opportunity to assist in maintaining the hive over the season. Additionally, you receive 12 pounds of honey and a sponsor card for 10% discounts on additional same season honey purchases.
